Obsess A Little?

Then check out the Obsessive Compulsive Series!

The Obsessive Compulsive Romance Novelist is the first in my Obsessive Compulsive Series.  A quirky romance, the novel brings you inside the mind of Erika Seals, a would-be romance novelist with an obsession for writing - amongst other things. The overwrought heroine lacks in areas of practicality, decision-making and positive self-esteem.  And yet for all her faults, she becomes an object of interest to Elliot Beck, her landlord's son. When Erika gets an inkling of his sentiments, she fearfully admits her willingness to reciprocate them.  That leads to an excessive amount of cleaning as she works out her problems through the pages of her unpublished masterpiece.

The Obsessive Compulsive Romance Novelist is a romantic comedy, yet at the same time a lesson into the human psyche.

The novel, published through Stonehedge, is available at Fictionwise, Mobipocket, ereader, and most other ebook retailers. It is also available through Amazon, if you have access to the Kindle device.

Now for Obsessive, Compulsive and Published.  Erika Seals is back, and as in The Obsessive Compulsive Romance Novelist, nothing comes easy for this heroine.  The sequel presents a more (hopefully) mature Erika, who finally gets her novel published!  Everyone seems pleased, except her father, who is embarrassed of his daughter’s talent.  But Erika has more than her father’s approval and story publication to worry about.  She has also gone back to school and is enrolled in the same class with her arch enemy, Maricela.  Elliot’s parents, also Erika’s landlords, come up from sunny Florida to visit, each outing the young people take them on proving more disastrous than the last.  Then there is Elliot himself, forced to make a decision that could end the lovers’ relationship.  The circumstances read from a page of Erika’s romance novel, but she remains powerless to script the ending.

Obsessive, Compulsive and Published is a humorous piece of romantic fiction, weaving in the elements of self-esteem, familial relationships and the importance of fine culinary skills.

Disclaimer: The sequel may create an urge to clean and obsess, while giving a bad case of the chuckles.

The novel is  available through Class Act Books as a trade paperback and through ebook retailers, such as fictionwise and Amazon.

Thanks for stopping by, and come back soon.

Appreciating Hockey

I am not a hockey fan, but I am an avid Olympic watcher, so I watched that final Olympic game between Canada and the U.S.  What a nail-biter! Yeah, I wanted the guys in the red, white and blue to edge out our northern neighbors, but they were the more aggressive team.  Loved it.  See?  The Olympics brings new experiences.

Snowstorm Inspires Writing

posted Feb 26, 2010 7:44 AM by Evie Alexis

No cabin fever for this writer.  In my suburban county we've gotten over twenty inches of snow with more to come.  What's a writer to do after shoveling?  Write, of course and drink lots and lots of hot chocolate.
